گیاهان تیره چتریان (Apiaceae) دربرگیرنده گونه‌های تجاری ارزشمند مشتمل بر گونه‌های دارویی، ادویه‌ای، سبزی و زینتی می‌باشند. با وجود اینکه گزارش‌های زیادی در مورد محتوای دارویی و فیتوشیمیایی گونه‌های تجاری تیره چتریان وجود دارد، ولی در مورد سایر خویشاوندان این تیره اطلاعات کمی در دسترس است. در این پژوهش خواص دارویی مشتمل بر فعالیت آنتی‌‌استیل کولین استرازی، آنتی‌‌تیروزینازی و آنتی‌‌اکسیدانی و محتوای فنل کل 9 گونه از تیره چتریان ارزیابی شد. نتایج ما تنوع وسیعی از خواص دارویی و محتوای فیتوشیمیایی بین گونه‌های مختلف را نشان داد. گیاهان مورد بررسی، به‌عنوان منبع بالقوه خواص آنتی‌‌استیل کولین استرازی، آنتی‌تیروزینازی و آنتی‌اکسیدانی آشکار شدند. بیشترین محتوای آنتی‌اکسیدانی، آنتی‌استیل کولین استرازی و آنتی‌‌تیروزینازی به‌ترتیب در گونه‌های Conium maculatum، Prangos ulopteraو Malabaila secacul مشاهده شد. علاوه‌بر این نتایج نشان داد که محتوای فنل کل و متعاقباً خواص آنتی‌اکسیدانی عصاره متانولی، چند برابر عصاره اتیل‌استاتی در هر گونه بود. در مجموع، گونه‌های مورد بررسی در این پژوهش، حاوی مقادیر قابل توجه تا بسیار زیادی از خواص دارویی و محتوای فیتوشیمیایی بودند که برای اولین بار در اینجا گزارش شدند و می‌توانند در صنایع دارویی، غذایی و کشاورزی مورد استفاده قرار گیرند.
