با توجه به اهمیت اقتصادی آفات انباری و معایب حشره‌کش‌های شیمیایی، در این تحقیق اثر دور‌کنندگی عصاره سیر و فلفل (تنداکسیر®) و پودر سیر و فلفل روی شب‌پره هندی Plodia interpunctella Hubner (Lep.: Pyralidae) بررسی شد. اثر دورکنندگی غلظت‌های مختلف تنداکسیر (1، 5، 10، 15 و 20 درصد) و پودر سیر و فلفل روی حشره کامل و لارو سن چهارم با استفاده از لوله شیشه‌ای Y شکل و روی لارو سن اول با استفاده از دو روش لیوان منفذدار و پتری‌دیش و همچنین اثر بازدارندگی این ترکیب‌ها روی تخم‌ریزی حشره کامل ارزیابی شد. نتایج نشان داد که غلظت 20% تنداکسیر و پودر سیر به‌ترتیب با 97/63% و 90/58% بیشترین اثر دورکنندگی را روی حشرات کامل دارند. اثر دورکنندگی تیمارها روی لارو سن چهارم نسبت به حشره کامل کمتر بود و پودر سیر و غلظت 20% تنداکسیر به‌ترتیب به میزان 57.5% و 40% بیشترین دورکنندگی را روی لارو سن چهارم داشتند. پودر فلفل (82.5%) بیشترین دورکنندگی را روی لارو سن اول در روش لیوان منفذدار نشان داد. میزان دورکنندگی روش پتری‌دیش کمتر بود و بیشترین میزان آن (67.5%) در غلظت 20% تنداکسیر ثبت شد. بیشترین اثر بازدارندگی روی تخم‌ریزی حشره کامل مربوط به پودر سیر و غلظت 20% تنداکسیر به‌ترتیب با47.89% و 47.65% بود. نتایج این تحقیق کارایی عصاره و پودر سیر و فلفل را در دور کردن و ممانعت از تخم‌ریزی شب‌پره هندی نشان داد.
