Abstract

Rosmarinus officinalis is a one of  the most important medicinal plant which are growing in Iran.
In this study, plant collected from Research Institute of Forests and Rangelands on spring 1998.

The Essential oils obtained from dry leaves by hydro distillation method. The percentage of oil was 0.88% V/W calculated on the dry weight, then analyzed by capillary GC and GC/MS. Main components were piperitone (23.6%), a-Pinene (14.9%), Linalool (14.89%) and 1,8-Cineole (7.3%).
