The essential oils obtained by different methods of distillation ( steam distillation and hydrodistillation), the percentage of oils for flower and leaf by steam distillation were 0.2 and 0.05%  and  by hydrodistillation were  0.4 and 0.04%  respectively, and calculated on the dry weight, and analysis by GC and GC/MS. <br />The major constituents by hydrodistillation in flower were  p-cymene (19.8%), n- heptanol (15.2%) and bornyl acetate (12%) in leaf p- cymene (24.1%), n- heptanol (11.1%) and camphor (5.9%) and by steam distillation in flower were (E)-isoeugenyl acetate (18%), n- heptanol (16.3%), bornyl acetate (16.2%) and      p-cymene (9.3%) in leaf (Z)- isodemicin (16%), (E)-isoeugenyl acetate (14.9%),   nootkatin (13%) and longifolene (11.8%), respectively  سر شاخه گلدار گیاه Achillea millefolium subsp. millefolium  در اوایل مرداد 1382 از منطقه لار در استان تهران  جمع آوری گردید. سپس از نمونه با روشهای تقطیر اسانس گیری شد.  بازده اسانس در روش تقطیر با بخار, در نمونه های گل و برگ به ترتیب 0.2  و 0.05     درصد و با روش تقطیر با آب,  0.4  و 0.04 درصد بدست آمد. اسانس ها توسط دستگاههای کروماتوگرافی گازی (GC)  و کروماتوگرافی گازی متصل به طیف سنج جرمی (GC/MS) مورد تجزیه قرار گرفتند.ترکیبهای عمده به روش تقطیر با آب در نمونه گل عبارتند از : p-cymene (19.8%), n- heptanol (15.2%) و bornyl acetate (12%) و در نمونه برگ p- cymene (24.1%), n- heptanol (11.1%) و camphor (5.9%) و همچنین در روش تقطیر با بخار , ترکیبهای عمده در گل عبارتند از : (E)-isoeugenyl acetate (18%),  n- heptanol (16.3% درصد), bornyl acetate (16.2%) و p-cymene (9.3%)  و در برگ (Z)- isodemicin (16%),  (E)-isoeugenyl acetate  (14.9%), nootkatin  (13%) و  longifolene (11.8%) مورد شناسایی قرار گرفتند. در این تحقیق اختلاف قابل توجه ای در میزان اسانس نمونه ها و ترکیبها مشاهده شده است که قابل توجه تولید کنندگان اسانس خواهد بود.  https://ijmapr.areeo.ac.ir/article_115284_39b454faa11cceea8d16c55d3fcb8067.pdf
